Wedding on Australia Day 2012

Dana and Randall meet on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands four years ago on Australia Day, so where better than to celebrate their marriage than Cocos on Australia Day!! Dana and Randall chose "Yacht Club Beach" with its sensationally white sands and a scenic backdrop of lagoon waters and far away islands. Their vows were beautifully written and portrayed the sincere love and respect they have for each other. It was a small ceremony, but nonetheless emotional in every way. With the setting sun, the colours of the lagoon and eastern sky lit up to welcome the newly weds. Congratulations Dana and Randall; thank you for allowing me to be a part of your very special day.

Zoe & Manuel ~ 12th January 2012

First wedding of 2012 was celebrated in fine style at North Point on the beautiful Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Zoe and Manuel are so much in love and could hardly take their eyes off each other during the entire ceremony. A beautiful love poem "Ich Leibe Dich" was read in both German and English by their respective mothers. Even though the weather didn't produce that beautiful sunset, it certainly produces moody clouds with lots of colour. Zoe dazzled as did Manuel. It was a beautiful ceremony with beautiful friends and family.

Kelly & Kynan - 27.10.2011

A Frangipani Wedding. The theme for Kelly and Kynan's wedding was yellow and white to represent the fragrant frangipani's growing on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. North Point was selected to share their vows of love to each other and witnessed by family and friends. It was a beautiful evening culminating with a spectacular sunset that complimented the Cocos colours Kelly had chosen. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your very special day. Best "fishes" for your future together.

Wedding on Direction Island

Michelle and Brad have been together for many years and it was their desire to have a beautiful island wedding. Brad, working on Cocos, decided that Direction Island fitted the bill perfectly. So under clear blue skies with turquoise blue waters of the Cocos Lagoon, Michelle and Brad exchanged personal vows with their two boys and close friends.

Congratulations Michelle and Brad on the beautiful Cocos Barefoot Wedding. I'm so glad to have shared your special day and can't wait for you to see your gorgeous wedding coffee table book.

SURFING: Mitch Carves up Cocos

Finally managed to take myself down to the local surfing break and capture my step-son in action. Mid afternoon is not the optimum time of day for photographing the surfers in action - just too much glare from the afternoon sun. However, Mitch was pretty pleased with the action shots I was able to take of him. Of course, the local surfing fraternity will say "What surf on Cocos???......" With one break, expensive air fares, I doubt Cocos will ever become a surfing mecca....

Baby "F"

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of an impromptu "baby bump" session with my good friend and diving partner Leah. Leah and her husband, Rohan, have just returned to Cocos with their gorgeous little bundle of joy. Congratulations to you both. Can't wait to take some more photos of your special little boy.
